This is important: Mail ballot requests are now good for only one general election cycle anywhere in Florida. If you voted by mail in 2022 and provided the required information on your certificate envelope, your mail ballot request should be renewed. Mail ballot requests expired on December 31, 2022, for voters who did not provide the required information. In either case, you should check your vote-by-mail status now.

Read on for what to do in a KCB local election:
You Must Request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Requests for vote-by-mail ballots must be received in your local Supervisor of Elections office no later than 5:00 pm on the 10th day before an election.
Here's where it gets complicated. The "local Supervisor of Elections" is KCB city clerk Silvia Gransee for this KCB referendum election only. The "local Supervisor of Elections" is Monroe County Supervisor of Elections Joyce Griffin for all other local, state, or national elections held here.
That's right, sports fans. You may have to register twice to vote by mail. You will have to register separately to vote-by-mail in the KCB referendum election.
Contact your local Supervisor of Elections to request a local vote-by-mail ballot.
You may request a vote-by-mail ballot in person, by mail, email, fax or by phone. Only the voter or a designated member of his or her immediate family or legal guardian can request a vote-by-mail ballot for the voter.
As a voter requesting a vote-by-mail ballot you must provide your:
- name
- address
- date of birth
- signature (written requests only)
For the KCB Local Electiona only, use this Vote-By-Mail Request Form to mail, email, fax or call your request to:

An immediate family member or legal guardian can request a vote-by-mail ballot for you but there are additional steps.
Voting a Mail In Ballot
Your marked ballot for the KCB election must be mailed or delivered in person, reaching Silvia Gransee's office not later than 7:00 pm on the day of the election. Do not return your voted mail ballot to a polling place.
