Does Key Colony Beach really spend nearly $300,000 on a department with just one employee?

» The FY 2022-2023 adopted budget for the Building Department shows $295,153 for salaries, taxes, overtime, retirement, medical coverage, contingency, and workers comp but KCB has just one Building Official.
» Is the approved budget simply wrong or is the City Commission "hiding" other employees in the Building Department to keep apparent administrative costs down?
» In either case, the expense further inflates the excess fees collected by the department.
