LAURIE'S COVER LETTER FOR THE PETITION REQUEST.

To: Silvia Gransee, City Clerk, City of Key Colony Beach, FL

The people shall have the power at their option to approve or reject at the polls any measure passed by the city commission.

Any KCB elector can ask the City Clerk to print and deliver referendum petitions needed.

The City delivered initiative petitions before any request was made. The petitions were incorrect in language and incomplete on the face. Furthermore, the second paragraph in that petition was incorporated by reference and is unnecessary.

If the clerk is to deliver the numbered and dated referendum petitions, the language for the ballot item must include, without relying on the requestor to "fill it in."

As a registered elector and citizen of the City of Key Colony Beach, I ask the City Clerk of the City of Key Colony Beach to create and deliver 500 petition blanks to be used for the purposes of this referendum petition. Please note that this is a referendum petition, not an initiative petition or a petition for a recall election.

The referendum petition shall include all of the information on the following page:

(signed) Laurie Swanson

THIS IS THE PETITION REQUESTED.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND THIS IN
