The Key Colony Beach City Commission obviously thinks so.

For the first time in almost six years, it looked like the city would move fast to award the contract to tear down City Hall. We requested an injunction simply to ask the city to press "Pause" until the voters can speak.
It's hard to get real figures from KCB officials but estimates show that commissioners Harding, Trefry, and Vickery will spend up to $50,000 to fight the injunction and referendum petition.
50,000 dollars.
The city lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the injunction. The city lawyers claim the petition they wrote and insisted we use "does not conform to city code."
Ka-ching.
The city commission held a super-secret meeting (see page 85 in the linked commission "packet") to plot its strategy to fight the injunction and deny KCB-ers the right to vote.

That's what commissioners Harding, Trefry, and Vickery will spend to muzzle any objections to their plans.
First they dipped into our tax "revenues" for consultants and trailers and lawyers to advance their plans. Then they kept dipping our tax "revenues" for architects and trailers and lawyers to expand their plans. Now they're dipping our tax "revenues" for lawyers to keep you from having a voice about their plans.
Yup. They just see us as a bunch of dips.
