ARRESTS:

Charged with criminal behavior

MCSO Arrest Sheet

Former KCB commissioner Kimmeron Lisle, 60, was arrested August 16, 2024, at the Continental Inn on one count of Simple Assault. The MCSO Arrest Reports were added to the Marathon Weekly in the newspaper box near the Post Office. Ms. Lisle was arraigned August 29, 2024. Monroe County State Attorney Dennis Ward filed a "Memorandum of No Action" that states "The State cannot prove beyond a reasonable doubt."

The arrest triggered the filing of the assault charge called an "Information" with the clerk of court. The officer making the arrest must have a criminal violation in order to arrest someone in the first place. In this case, it was a sworn complaint of assault. The "no-file" result does not quash the sworn complaint, remove the arrest record, or exonerate the defendant. It simply means the state attorney has decided not to pursue the charge.
