When will Key Colony Beach open bids for the planned City Hall Complex?

» The Taj ma-KCB bids will be opened for the first time and read aloud in the KCB City Hall parking lot on Monday, June 5, at 4 p.m. Each vendor and the amount they bid will be read and recorded. The attached posting was taped to the door of the "temporary" Post Office trailer with the details provided by the city.

» The city is not providing a Zoom link for anyone out of town.
» "I would be asking the Commission if this is a proper way to conduct a bid opening," a former commissioner said. "If proper, it certainly is not very professional."
» 32 vendors are listed as "plan holders." There is no indication of how many actually bid.
» The notice claims that the bids will be evaluated, ranked, and presented to the city commission at a future time not specified. That should be a public process but it has not been announced.

Special note: City officials refused to make the bid package public but it is freely available online so contractors may bid.
