In the immortal words of Tom Harding, I'm going to give you a little history here, Initially we were not going to put the switchgear on the east side because the amount of money and the wire and the conduit that it was going to take to come in the building go up the wall across the ceiling and back down was very expensive and a lot of work and we opted to put it closer to the panel on the west side as the mayor explained. unfortunately I think we maybe overlooked the location of that as a commission and how it will look in the end and last week I sent a note out to the architect and engineer asking for them to relook at that because that switch gears if you know if anybody's seen it the troughs the boxes they're all just it looks like those door frames over there they're ugly they're electrical panels basically and they're right in our front entrance and I know that that entrance is going to be the main entrance for people to go in and out of the hell. We thought well we'll hide it with plants and all you really can't because the codes as Tony could confirm you'd have to have three feet or four feet in front of that panel and we don't have it and if you try to plant a tree I don't know you're going to need a skinny little tree and you really there's no way to really I don't believe we're going to be able to hide the landscape like you thought we could so we questionable doing it the contractor believes it's a good idea and now that the slab is been removed it is more convenient for us to scratch out a trench in that floor before we pour it back and hide the conduit in the ground straight run and located on the east side Sadowsky side where all the other guts in the building are. The generator's over there. The air conditioning units are over there you know and so it may be better over there and it's adoption I mean we spent a lot of money to replace windows so that you would match perfectly so I think this is a good change it could i'm guessing it's a 10,000 $15,000 change and I'm guessing it shouldn't really hold us up in terms of time so I think it's something that we should explore but I need an approval because we have already approved the plans with the switch gear on that wall and I believe that was an error and I'd like to change that. If it's if it's feasible I want to change it so I'd like to get a vote to move the switch here get pricing you know time constraints whatever and see what we do

[Foster]
So I'll make the motion but I'm gonna be a little more clear about it. i'm gonna give the approval to move the switch gear. I don't wanna put a dollar figure on that we'll just say not to exceed $50,000. We don't have the time to bring it back after you get some cost on so right now let's just approve it to move it .If if he comes back and so they they couldn't work it whatever the reason is we got time because it goes back over here anyway unless I didn't go ahead and explore it get the cost and it's under $50,000 just be done with it and so that's the motion but the

[Colonell]
second

[Foster]
discussion

[DiFransico]
We haven't done any construction on the electrical yet so this is just making a difference it's making changes to the drawings trying to electrical wiring diagrams, things like that. and the only thing they need to do now is put a trench in the ground.

{Colonell]
Exactly. And I'm thinking you know Brandan's going to ask for a change order to revise the plan and my go back is, I think we can do that as an as built situation. I don't have a problem with doing that an as built situation where we ran the power bar the power. One he's gonna wanna you know charge us to do the drawings necessary. I don't know that it's necessary. If it is we're gonna have to go there for the last one part of

[Diehl]
Will he agree to an as built?

[Colonell]
I don't know and it's gonna be my go back. I was gonna tell him when he comes back, starts asking for extra money and all this other stuff

[DiFransico]
Seems like a reasonable.

[Harding]
OK can you explain me to the switch gear. Is it the switch to the generator is this

[Colonell]
It's the electrical switching your switching power to coming power to Medicaid withdrawal so it would be feeding our panels it's also the transfer switch for the generator. We did talk about this before and we had quite a conversation and we finally you know agreed to just go overhead because the slab was there that nobody had really thought about boring out. The contractor plans on moling across the park and he was not he's gonna go underneath live with the mole and then feed the wire so they were saying they could do the same thing here or they maybe just as easy to take a mini excavator to scratch out a trench because they have only have to go down three feet but it is the power wire it is the power for the building and I think we kind of acquiesced to it with the engineer saying that the power's coming in going to be right there close to the panel so it's still gonna be nice and it may not be covered they put it under the public we can't put the trees like we thought you know because it's in the way you know we would have three foot clearance but we may may have have been landscaping before if I I'd rather not have such

[Harding]
The only thing probably for a discussion with Brandan is when they're you'd have to be on a drawing for fire required they could see that maybe for down the road or even for you know the first approval so he may bring that up but I can see somebody saying that well the fire department thinks it's over there by the drawing

[Foster]
but the will pick that up.

[Colonell]
Well I'm gonna tell you there's a way to get it done. he's already calling where it is and that's where it is or you're gonna have to pay me for another drawing and all this stuff like okay fine because it's just too ugly you wouldn't want electric panel so how the hell we overlooked it but I did say it was you know had you put it on the drawing or the rendering or even shown it in the top and you didn't do that Brandan so I think it's it's gotten I got it over this yeah I don't think we really realize how bad that world if he was like well well well. That's fine so I believe we go round and round.

The commission unanimously approved the motion.
